I am freelance artist/stay-at-home mom. Both jobs require constant attention and high energy.
I need a lot of naps.
Robin McFadden is a Colorado-based artist.
She was born in 1980 and has spent the majority of her life painting, planning to paint, procrastinating on paintings and having kids (and stepkids!), possibly in an effort to give her a legitimate reason to put the paintbrush down for a while.
She also draws, sews and collages and has perpetrated a long list of crafty things.
She spent her early twenties making an abortive attempt to get a degree in animation, then spent several years as a freelance muralist/graphic artist/tattoo designer/art teacher.
Thus far her artistic career includes (but is not limited to) several murals, two sets of full-color book illustrations, and The Faerie Alphabet Coloring Book. Her mother and sister are both writers, and her father has been known to be a publisher, so many of these projects were collaborations with her amazing family. In addition to such things, she can also boast a large collection of stand-alone pieces in various media, some of which you can find here in her Threadless shop. Quite a few others are available to view in the gallery of her website, as well as her Facebook page; if you see something there that you'd like to see here, drop her a line and she'll get right on it.
